This was accompanied by a high level of effort for the preparation of individual offers and a certain susceptibility to errors. In addition, a manual approval process for the bids hampered the speed of processing.
Our task: centralization and increased efficiency
SüdLeasing recognized early on that a comprehensive IT strategy and modern, digital processes would be important factors in remaining competitive and holding its own on the market in the long term. The need to move from manual processes and Excel-based calculations to a more efficient and precise solution was particularly evident in the area of leasing offers.
With our expertise in the digitalization of complex business processes, we developed an individual solution that standardizes and centralizes various sales processes and integrates them into the existing system landscape.
Procedure: from requirements engineering to seamless integration
- Detailed requirements engineering at the beginning, in close coordination with the specialist departments and sales, laid the foundation for our project.
- All requirements and key parameters for calculating the leasing offers were recorded and the current internal processes for preparing and approving offers were comprehensively analyzed.
- Building on this, we were able to develop new, more efficient processes that converge in a digital application and are available centrally to both internal sales employees and external sales partners.
On a technological level, the development team relied on Java and Spring Boot in line with the company's new IT strategy, which provided a robust and scalable basis for the web application. The use of open source technologies also meant that there were no additional license costs. The seamless integration into SüdLeasing's existing system landscape, including the CRM system, was also successfully implemented.
We got to know Holisticon as software architecture experts who think strategically about technology and also keep an eye on things like maintainability, security and integration with other systems.
Modern technology requires modern working methods
In order to use new technologies as effectively as possible, the digitalization of processes also requires an organizational change at company level. To ensure that the IT team can react dynamically to changes and remain flexible, we implemented suitable agile working methods.
However, one-size-fits-all solutions rarely fit all use cases, especially when using agile frameworks, where they are more likely to lead to failure than success. This is why we developed a customized agile process together with the development team.
